Disallows the federal mortgage interest deduction for Oregon personal income tax purposes while establishing a temporary mortgage interest tax credit.

Overview#
Disallows, for purposes of personal income taxation, mortgage interest deduction. Applies to tax years beginning on or after January 1, 2021. Establishes credit against personal income taxes for mortgage interest. Applies to tax years beginning on or after January 1, 2021, and before January 1, 2028. Takes effect on 91st day following adjournment sine die.
