Limits developers’ ability to apply updated land use regulations within urban growth boundaries and expands funding mechanisms for affordable and middle housing programs.
Overview#
Digest: The Act would change how cities may amend their UGBs. The Act would let cities and counties pay back Housing and Community Services Department loans made in a certain program to fund affordable and middle housing from sources other than developer fees. The Act would let the cities and counties make loans as well as award grants to developers in the program. (Flesch Readability Score: 61.6). Amends the temporary urban growth boundary expansion program. Allows cities and counties in a certain funding program for affordable and middle housing to repay loans made to them by the Housing and Community Services Department from sources other than developer fees. Allows the cities and counties to make loans as well as award grants to developers. Takes effect on the 91st day following adjournment sine die.
