Dick Anderson#

Dick Anderson is a Republican State Senator representing District 5 (Lincoln City), serving as Senate Deputy Republican Leader and Vice Chair of the Senate Housing and Development Committee. He was first elected to the Senate in 2020 and re-elected in 2024.1

Before entering the legislature, Anderson served as Mayor of Lincoln City. He spent 35 years in the financial industry, including roles as a director with Fannie Mae, senior vice president at First Interstate Bank, and senior vice president at Pacific First Mortgage Corporation.1

  • SB 1566 (2026): Introduced legislation to modify Oregon’s prevailing wage exemptions for affordable housing projects. The bill would allow commercial space in affordable housing without losing exemptions, increase height limits from four to seven stories, and clarify that adjacent infrastructure work shouldn’t trigger prevailing wage requirements.
